Version 1.39.0 Preview 14 October 13, 2026 (Preview)
Release Date: October 13, 2026
Summary
Section titled “Summary”This preview includes everything in Preview 13, plus four fixes found in lab testing. Apps deleted directly in Intune now leave App Management, or are clearly labeled when App Store keeps them so their groups and update apps can be cleaned up. App settings save again when approval is turned off, a custom WinGet repository’s App Catalog lists every package, and Delete from Intune no longer skips the group question silently.
Product Enhancements
Section titled “Product Enhancements”- Apps deleted in Intune are found within the hour. App Store checks for apps deleted directly in Intune every hour, and whenever you select Sync Apps from Intune, instead of only in the nightly sync.
- Apps App Store keeps are labeled. An app deleted in Intune that App Store holds groups, update apps, version history or requests for is kept so those can be cleaned up. App Management labels it Deleted in Intune, and Reports > Store Health lists it under Apps deleted in Intune. It can’t be made available, and App Store doesn’t check it for updates. See Apps deleted in Intune.
Bug Fixes
Section titled “Bug Fixes”- Resolved apps deleted in Intune, including through another App Store instance, staying in App Management, where making one available failed. An app App Store holds nothing for is now removed once it has been missing for 30 minutes on two checks.
- Resolved App settings failing to save with “An approval workflow needs at least one stage” when Requires approval was off, in tenants where Require Manager Approval is turned on.
- Resolved the App Catalog opening empty when it reads a custom WinGet repository. Every package in the repository is now listed. The Microsoft catalog is unchanged.
- Fixed Delete from Intune deleting an app without asking about its deployment groups when App Store could not read them. It now stops and asks you to try again.
